This family had issues with water leakage and an odd smell emitting from their crawlspace.  Luckily our team was able to use our top of the line products in order to fix the issues this family was experiencing.

Water damage and mold from moisture in the air covered this home’s crawl space. These musty, dirty conditions were having a negative impact on the occupant’s lives. Like most homes, this crawl space was built with a thin plastic covering on the ground and insulation on the floor above. Over time this strategy fails and allows mold to grow and air quality to decrease. This hurt the health of the home and had impacts on personal health as well.

We were able to help! After debris removal, we installed a CleanSpace vapor barrier across the entire crawl space, SilverGlo insulation to the walls, two sump pumps, and a dehumidifier. All these products work together to create an airtight, controlled crawl space that works for the home. The vapor barrier and dehumidifier keep the air dry and moisture from being able to catalyst mold growth. The wall insulation is a way to keep the temperature under control and treats the crawl space as part of the house. It also won’t be affected by moisture if any gets on it the way traditional insulation would.

This crawl space went from a moldy, musty, and useless space to a clean, energy efficient, and protected part of the home. When our crew arrived at this home to install our interior waterproofing system and brace the back wall some questions arose. It was an unusual situation where the block wall was so badly bowing, and had blocks turning sideways, that attempting to brace the wall might bring it down. The unfortunate situation meant that the entire wall needed to be rebuilt before the job could take place.

After conversations with our inspector and production manager we found that, even though wall rebuilds are not within our list services, we had some experienced installers with the knowledge needed. So, we were able to rebuild the wall and continued our job per normal.

We braced the wall we built as originally needed to protect it from future bowing and waterproofed the perimeter with our WaterGuard system. After this job was completed the homeowner was ecstatic. She had remarked constantly about how impressed she was with our work. We were also very happy to work with a customer who really needed the help protecting their basement from wall collapse and water intrusion.

The basement walls of this home were cracked and bowing inward due to Years of being pressurized and depressurized from the ground outside of the walls. The recent rain was bad news for this ailment as the increase in ground water would put more pressure on the walls.

The homeowners had us inspect the issue to avoid full on wall collapse and decided to go with the most economic option. This solution, CarbonArmor strips, would add elasticity and support to the rigid block wall. We went to install it and stuck it strategically along two walls of the basement. Since the crack was horizontal and not stair stepping this solution worked much more effectively, as it only had to support pressure from one centralized spot along the wall.

After this installation, the homeowners were happy with our work. The CarbonArmor strips are relatively out of the way but provide a big and much needed support factor to these block walls.

The basement in this home had major leaks. Flooding was rendering it useless and leaving unhealthy marks. The homeowners knew this was a major issue for their home, so they contacted us to inspect the damage.

We found that, like most flooding basements, the best and efficient way to solve the problem was full perimeter waterproofing. We proposed our WaterGuard drainage system to send any unwanted water outside away from the home. We dug a trench and install the products and sent the discharge line through a French drain with ice guard.

The job went quickly and easily, and the homeowners were very happy. They now have dry usable space in their basement and the system can be maintained as well as operate 24/7.

The first thing we did was dig a trench around the perimeter of the basement and installed our WaterGuard drainage. This system sits under the floor and collects water before it gets into the basement before sending it to a sump pump to be pumped outside. To fix the cracks and stabilize the pool deck, we lifted the slab with PolyLevel and filled the void which was forming underneath the concrete. Then, we sealed the cracks with NexusPro. This held together the separating slabs and waterproofed the cracks to help resist future erosion.

The floor on this home was sagging and began to bow downward. The downspouts were also filtering water right under the foundation into the crawl space.
