The foundation of this house had become compromised. Cracking around the base inside the home, wall cracks outside of the home, and a sinking floor made it obvious it was time to find a solution to the foundation issues. We went out to inspect the home and found multiple issues.
We wanted to install helical piers under the home to stabilize the foundation and keep it from causing further damage and possibly lift the home back to where it was, but we quickly ran into problems. Once getting the greenlight to dig, we ran into a massive amount of rock in the ground that thwarted our effort to get a pier under the home. This was a temporary set back though until we were able to break through the layer of rock.
We came back after having installed one helical pier to bust the rock and get the piers in the ground. The homeowners were not thrilled with the set back but understood the necessity of it. After obtaining the proper equipment and authorization, we managed to get enough piers under the home to permanently stabilize it and stop the sinking. The homeowners were happy with the final work and to have the peace of mind about the safety of their home’s foundation.
