Our team of experts went right to work on waterproofing the basement and crawl space of this home. A WaterGuard drainage system was installed around the perimeter of the area to capture water at its entry point and redirect it to the UltraSump pump. IceGuard protection was added to ensure this sump pump would remain working, even during pipe-freezing weather conditions. Foamax insulation and CleanSpace liner were added to insulate and seal the area - improving energy efficiency and protecting the walls from water seepage. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and Aspen Air system were added to eliminate high humidity, prevent mold and musty odors, and ensure clean and filtered air throughout the space.

Intruding water had built up in the block walls and cement floor that was hidden from view under siding and carpet. This moisture was a catalyst for mold and started to form a musty smell throughout the basement. When the owners realized that there was an underlying issue, it had already gotten bad, so they contracted us to fix the problem.
We installed a full perimeter waterproofing system with our CleanSpace vapor barrier to keep the water out and assist in lowering the humidity. We ripped up the carpet and ruined panel siding and exposed to root of the problem. With the block wall and cement floor visible, we dug the trench to install the WaterGuard around the perimeter and sealed the vapor barrier to the block wall. This system is designed to catch water as it comes in and keep moisture in the walls from evaporating into the air.
After we installed the products we cleaned up and tested the system. It worked great and the homeowners were happy. This basement had been left to mold and was at the mercy of all the water seepage. We were able to take it back and turn it into a healthier and useable space.
