Debris and ruined vapor barrier left this crawl space wet and moldy. The air quality and general health issues were degrading the home’s value and the homeowners started looking for a permanent solution.
We cleaned out the nasty crawl space and then installed our durable vapor barrier, wall insulation, and dehumidifier to keep the air clean and dry. Sealing the crawl space made the home more efficient and dry, and the homeowners were thrilled with the results.
The covered car port on the side of this home started to sink and fall away from the rest of the home. The concrete was cracked and severely tilting one way.
We installed our helical tiebacks to help hold and pull the retaining wall back toward the home. We had to dig under the concrete car port to anchor the tiebacks and bring the car port back toward the home.
The homeowners were thrilled to have this issue resolved along with the peace of mind.
This basement in Trinity, NC has constantly suffered from massive water seepage. The garage door around the back had to have a large storm drain outside of it to help keep water away. Eventually, the homeowners got tired of having to deal with this water seepage and hired us to fix the problem permanently.
We installed our WaterGuard drainage and CleanSpace vapor barrier around the perimeter of this basement and ran them into our TripleSafe sump pump. This system collects intruding water and pumps it away from the home. The homeowners were thrilled to have a system working 24/7 to keep their basement clean and dry.
Water intrusion had caused multiple issues in this basement. The built-up moisture put pressure on the block and eventually stress fractured. It also made it difficult to store items that could not get wet. So, we inspected the basement and found a solution to the water intrusion along the back wall.
The first thing we did was dig a trench along the back wall. Doing this gives us room to install the WaterGuard waterproofing system under the floor of the basement. From there, it catches water and sends it to a sump pump which pumps the water away from the home. Once this system was fully installed, we added CarbonArmor strips to the back wall. These strips hold the wall together and stop further bowing.
With the job completed, the homeowners were satisfied. We secured this wall of the basement and will keep it from leaking and cracking, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
Lifting concrete with our PolyLyft foam is a joy to witness. With this job in particular the results were incredible. The process is oddly scientific as our foremen calculate where and how much foam to pump underneath the slab to lift it but not create or worsen new cracks.
This home had been poured on unsettled ground and over time the dirt began to compact and severe rains that run under the home ever slowly chipped away at the foundation. With precision and focus we were able to lift this slab and fill the void where the ground has settled.
Now, the home has more stability and more usefulness. The value, practicality, and relief from potential further damage has drastically gone up. On top of this, the homeowner was very happy to see the results and watch the slab rise right in front of his eyes.
The back-left end of this home began to sink and caused cracks to form in the bricks around the back window and on individual bricks themselves. Homes, as they settle and shift over time, can be at risk of foundation issues. These issues can show minor symptoms but have major implications. This home was experiencing these symptoms and the homeowner was looking for potential solutions.
We placed piers along the base of the home by digging 3 by 4 holes along the house’s edge to allow the piers to sit under the home and the foundation to rest on the piers. From here we were able to lift this house hydraulically back into place. After locking the piers in place and filling the holes back in the homeowner was pleased to have taken care of this issue before anything major happened to his home.
