Carolina Basement Systems Gives Back: Supporting Forsyth County Schools for the "Feeding Families" Event

Volunteering to Make a Difference

Our team arrived at the distribution site at where Bank of America, school staff, and community volunteers were already hard at work. After signing in, gearing up, and receiving instructions, we joined the flow of an incredibly efficient system designed to get hundreds of bags out the door and into the hands of families by the afternoon.

Inside the warehouse, volunteers were busy:

• Assembling and tying meal bags

• Adding hand-written notes and gift cards

• Restocking items on the packing tables

• Moving full bags to the loading dock

• Breaking down boxes and keeping stations organized

Outside, loading volunteers coordinated traffic, checked delivery quantities, and helped direct vehicles to their routes.

Delivering Hope to Local Schools

As part of the delivery team, Carolina Basement Systems helped transport packed meal bags to five schools across Winston-Salem, including:

• North Hills Elementary

• Ibraham Elementary

• Walkertown Elementary

• Walkertown Middle

• Walkertown High School

Each stop brought moments of connection, gratitude, and community spirit. School staff welcomed us warmly as we unloaded bags that would soon reach students and families just in time for the Thanksgiving break.

A Day Rooted in Community

We are grateful to Bank of America, WS/FCS, and every volunteer who dedicated their time, energy, and compassion. Events like these remind us that when we come together, we can create meaningful change one family, one meal, and one act of kindness at a time.
