Carolina Basement Systems Gives Back: Supporting Habitat for Humanity in Forsyth County

At Carolina Basement Systems, we believe strong communities start with strong homes. That’s why our team recently had the opportunity to give back by volunteering with Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County helping build hope by building homes.

Building More Than Homes

Our team spent the day working alongside Habitat staff and fellow volunteers, contributing to a project that directly impacts families in our local community. From hands-on labor to teamwork on-site, it was a meaningful experience that reminded us why safe, stable housing matters.

Affordable housing continues to be a major need in our area. In fact, 1 in 3 families in our community are considered cost-burdened, meaning they spend too much of their income on housing often sacrificing essentials like groceries, healthcare, and education.

Habitat Forsyth’s Mission

Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County is dedicated to making homeownership possible for families earning between 45%–80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). In addition to building new homes, they work to preserve existing housing and advocate for policies that improve access to affordable housing for everyone.

Since 1985, Habitat Forsyth has made a lasting impact by:

• Building over 400 safe, affordable, and energy-efficient homes
• Serving nearly 1,000 families through construction, home preservation, and global initiatives

Their work is powered by collaboration bringing together businesses, volunteers, nonprofits, and community members to create real change.
