Water Intrusion Threatens the Basement
Water entering this Reidsville basement left the concrete floor damp and placed the homeowner's stored belongings at risk of moisture damage. A complete waterproofing solution was needed to control the water and create a drier, more dependable space.
Capturing Water at the Basement Perimeter
Wet spots across the concrete floor confirmed that water was entering along the foundation. Our crew installed a perimeter drainage system to collect this water, while the wall vapor barrier directs moisture into the system instead of allowing it to spread across the basement floor.
Controlling Basement Moisture and Humidity
After addressing the water intrusion, our crew installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to remove excess moisture from the basement air. Paired with the wall vapor barrier and perimeter drainage system, it helps prevent musty odors and creates a drier, healthier environment.
A Dry and Stabilized Basement
To complete the transformation, the foundation walls were covered with a moisture-resistant wall barrier, and steel PowerBrace supports were installed to stabilize the walls against inward movement. The basement is now cleaner, drier, and better protected from both water intrusion and structural concerns.
