Preparing the Basement for a Waterproofing System
The first step is creating a path for permanent water control. Our team carefully removes a section of concrete along the basement wall to make room for a perimeter drainage system, allowing water to be captured before it can reach the basement floor. This preparation lays the foundation for a dry, protected basement.
Installing the Perimeter Drainage System
With the trench prepared, the perimeter drainage system is installed along the basement wall to intercept groundwater before it reaches the floor. The drainage channel is surrounded with clean stone and paired with the CleanSpace wall system, directing water safely toward the sump pump for reliable, long-term protection.
Installing the TripleSafe Sump Pump System
At the heart of the waterproofing system is the TripleSafe sump pump, designed to remove water quickly and keep the basement protected during heavy rain. Paired with a battery backup and discharge system, it provides dependable protection even if the primary pump fails or the power goes out.
CleanSpace Wall System Installed for Moisture Protection
With the drainage system in place, the CleanSpace wall system is installed to create a clean, bright moisture barrier along the basement walls. Any water that seeps through the foundation is directed behind the liner and into the perimeter drainage system, helping keep the basement dry while giving the space a cleaner, finished appearance.
Directing Water Safely Away from the Home
The final step is ensuring water stays away from the foundation. The exterior discharge line carries water from the TripleSafe sump pump away from the home, while the IceGuard discharge system provides an escape route if the line freezes during winter. Together, these upgrades help protect the basement from water backup and keep the waterproofing system working year-round.
