Basement Before Waterproofing
This unfinished basement had exposed foundation walls and no visible waterproofing system in place to manage potential water intrusion. To protect the space from moisture, the basement was prepared for the installation of a drainage and waterproofing system along the foundation walls.
TripleSafe Sump Pump & Drainage System Installation
To address water entering the basement, our team installed a perimeter drainage system designed to capture water along the foundation and direct it to the TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe system then pumps the collected water out and away from the home, helping keep the basement dry and protected.
TripleSafe Sump Pump System Completed
With the waterproofing system in place, the TripleSafe Sump Pump provides multiple levels of protection against basement water. The system collects water from the perimeter drainage system and pumps it safely away from the home, while the battery backup provides added protection if the power goes out.
Vapor Barrier & Perimeter Drainage System Installed
To help stop moisture from reaching the basement, our team installed a vapor barrier along the foundation walls. Any water entering through the walls is directed down into the perimeter drainage system below, where it can be carried toward the sump pump instead of collecting on the basement floor.
IceGuard® Discharge Line Protection Installed
To keep the basement waterproofing system working during cold weather, our team installed IceGuard fittings on the sump pump discharge lines. If the underground discharge line freezes or becomes blocked, IceGuard provides an escape route for pumped water, helping prevent it from backing up into the basement.
IceGuard System Ready for Cold Weather
To complete the exterior portion of the waterproofing system, the IceGuard fittings were installed where the sump pump discharge lines exit the home. These fittings provide an emergency outlet for water if the underground lines freeze or become blocked, helping the sump pump continue protecting the basement during cold weather.
