This dirt crawl space had issues with moisture, humidity, and compiling debris. The unprotected crawl space had inconsistencies in temperature and held moisture that grew into mold. We were able to encapsulate the crawl space with a vapor barrier, waterproof it, and install a dehumidifier which derastically improved the air quality and condition of the home.
Water was filling this block wall and in addition to flooding the basement put immense pressure on the foundation wall. That pressure formed cracks in the mortar and started to push the wall out. If left unchecked this could easily collapse the wall, so we installed steel beams that brace the wall moving forward.
With obvious signs of water seepage on the walls of this basement there was no hiding that it needed waterproofing. We installed our patented internal waterproofing system that will collect the water before it gets into the home and pump it out away from the foundation.
Mold and high humidity plagued this crawl space. With black plastic being ripped up and moisture finding its way throughout the area the humidity inside was very hard to control. By installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier the possibility of ripping and exposing open ground is near impossible and creates an environment ready to be facilitate low humidity.
The efflorescence on this wall was the number one indicator that water seepage was becoming an issue. To prevent the water from being held inside the wall and creating problems for the rest of the basement, we installed an interior waterproofing system that drains intruding water to the outside of the home. This system also utilized a CleanSpace vapor barrier that will help lower the humidity inside the basement.
