Before - Severe Cracking and Water Intrusion
This Burlington, NC basement was showing classic signs of foundation stress and long-term moisture issues. Cracks spread across the cinder block walls, some beginning to bow inward, while visible water damage and efflorescence stained the surface. These issues indicated both structural strain and an urgent need for water management.

During - Waterproofing System & Sump Pump Installation
To combat the water entering from beneath the slab and through the walls, we installed a high-capacity sump pump system. Alongside it, we sealed the perimeter with fresh concrete over an interior drainage channel, helping capture any groundwater before it enters the basement space. CleanSpace vapor barrier was applied to the walls to stop vapor intrusion and direct moisture into the drainage system.

During - CleanSpace Wall System & Perimeter Sealing
As part of our comprehensive waterproofing approach, the CleanSpace wall system continued throughout the basement, sealing off previously vulnerable surfaces. We also laid down perimeter drainage, securing every corner even around obstacles like fireplaces. The floor pull-away issue was addressed with concrete edging to lock moisture out and stabilize flooring edges.

After - Structural Reinforcement with Wall Anchors
To permanently stabilize the bowing walls caused by hydrostatic pressure, we installed wall anchors on the exterior. These heavy-duty anchors prevent further inward movement and provide the strength needed to restore integrity to the failing foundation. With water managed and structure secured, this Burlington basement is now safer, drier, and ready for the future.
