Stair-Step Cracks Along Exterior Brick Wall
Stair-step cracks along the brick exterior were a visible symptom of foundation movement. Cracks like these can develop as sections of the foundation settle and shift, causing separation along the mortar joints.
Helical Piers Installed to Stabilize the Foundation
After identifying signs of foundation settlement, the soil was excavated along the foundation to expose the footing. Helical piers were then installed at key points to transfer the weight of the home to stronger, more stable soil below and help prevent further settlement.
Foundation Stabilized and Soil Restored
With the helical pier installation complete, the excavated areas were backfilled and the soil around the home was restored. The piers now provide permanent support beneath the foundation to help protect the home from further settlement.
