Carolina Basement Systems Before & After Photos

Moisture was getting through this block wall and into the basement. This caused issues such as high humidity and slow mold growth. We installed our patented waterproofing system utilizing our WaterGuard interior drainage system to collect water before it gets into the home and send it to a sump pump.

The settling foundation under this home was starting to crack and move the slab floor. We stabilized the slab and then sealed the cracks shut.

In Purlear, NC, this modular home was experiencing clear signs of settlement uneven floors on one side of the house and exterior cracks forming along the foundation wall. While there were no interior wall cracks yet, the symptoms pointed to a shifting support system beneath the crawlspace that needed to be addressed before things worsened.

Our crew inspected the crawlspace and discovered inadequate support beneath the settled side. To restore the structural integrity of the home, we installed SmartJack adjustable steel piers. These are engineered to stabilize and, in many cases, lift failing floor joists or girders back to a level position.

In the “before” photo, you can see the unlevel ground, leaning blocks, and evidence of makeshift support. In the “after,” the new steel SmartJack system is anchored in place, providing a solid and adjustable solution that will hold up against time and soil movement.

Now, this home is back on steady ground floors are stabilized, and the homeowner has peace of mind knowing their foundation is secure from below.
