In Purlear, NC, this modular home was experiencing clear signs of settlement uneven floors on one side of the house and exterior cracks forming along the foundation wall. While there were no interior wall cracks yet, the symptoms pointed to a shifting support system beneath the crawlspace that needed to be addressed before things worsened.
Our crew inspected the crawlspace and discovered inadequate support beneath the settled side. To restore the structural integrity of the home, we installed SmartJack adjustable steel piers. These are engineered to stabilize and, in many cases, lift failing floor joists or girders back to a level position.
In the “before” photo, you can see the unlevel ground, leaning blocks, and evidence of makeshift support. In the “after,” the new steel SmartJack system is anchored in place, providing a solid and adjustable solution that will hold up against time and soil movement.
Now, this home is back on steady ground floors are stabilized, and the homeowner has peace of mind knowing their foundation is secure from below.
Water intrusion was ruining this basement. We installed our patented products to keep moisture out and protect the basement from further damage.
The homeowners were not satisfied with their large and bulky window wells. We offer, and installed, a much sleeker and useful window well that allows natural light into the basement without harming the aesthetic.
This retreat center had a sunken and separated retaining wall. We permanently stabilized the walls with GeoLock wall anchors. Not only does this system stop the wall from settling any further, but it can also straighten the walls back to their original position overtime.
The unsettled dirt underneath this concrete sidewalk caused major shifting and cracking. When we went inside to waterproof the home, we also level this concrete slab to eliminate the hazard.
