This Lexington, NC crawl space was experiencing several moisture-related issues that were clearly visible in the “before” photo. The original vapor barrier was torn, scattered, and failing to protect the home from ground moisture. Insulation was falling from the floor joists, debris was spread throughout the crawl space, and humid air was freely entering the area. These symptoms often lead to musty odors, mold growth, wood rot, higher energy bills, and uneven temperatures inside the home.

To resolve these problems, our team completed a full CleanSpace encapsulation system. We removed the damaged materials, sealed the entire crawl space with a durable vapor barrier, and created a controlled, dry environment under the home. The new encapsulation protects the wooden structure, improves air quality throughout the home, and offers long-term moisture control for a healthier foundation and improved energy efficiency.

This Lexington, NC basement was showing clear signs of structural stress along the block walls, including inward bowing, long horizontal cracks, and moisture staining. These issues typically occur when outside soil pressure pushes against the foundation over time, weakening the wall and increasing the risk of future movement or failure.

To permanently stabilize the foundation, our team installed CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcement Straps, a high-strength carbon fiber system designed to support bowing walls without invasive reconstruction. After prepping the wall surface and sealing visible cracks, each strap was secured tightly to the wall to provide immediate reinforcement and prevent any further inward movement.

The result is a stronger, safer foundation with long-term protection allowing the homeowner to confidently use their basement space without worrying about ongoing structural damage.
