This Burlington, NC home was showing signs of foundation settlement cracks forming along the brick exterior and gaps around the vent. These issues are typically caused by shifting or unstable soil beneath the foundation.
To permanently stabilize the structure, our team installed Helical Piers, a deep-foundation support system designed to reach strong, load-bearing soil. After excavating along the footing, the piers were driven into the ground using hydraulic equipment. Once proper depth and torque were achieved, the system was secured to the foundation to lift and lock it in place.
The home's ground floor started to sag and the supports in the crawl space were worn out. We installed our SmartJacks with a steal beam support to stabilize and hold the floor back from further sagging.
This house had started to sink at the foundation forcing the exterior walls to come apart. Without being treated, this could worsen and start to bring the wall down completely. We were able to fix the cracking and restore the home by supporting the house with piers.
When this home started to settle the shift began to crack the block walls within the crawl space. These foundation walls are very important for the structural integrity of the home. Luckily, after a few piers were ran into the ground and under the foundation, we were able to not only support the home but lift it back into place.
Our team installed foundation push piers to stabilize a settling foundation by first excavating around the foundation to expose the footing. We then attached steel brackets to the footing and inserted the push piers into the ground until they reached load-bearing soil. Hydraulic jacks were used to lift the foundation back to its original position, and the piers were secured in place to provide permanent support.
