Water was filling this block wall and in addition to flooding the basement put immense pressure on the foundation wall. That pressure formed cracks in the mortar and started to push the wall out. If left unchecked this could easily collapse the wall, so we installed steel beams that brace the wall moving forward.
Among other issues, this basement's wall had started to bow inward. This risk of a wall collapse lead the homeowners to search for a solution. Fortunately, there are different types of solutions for this problem, and we installed a steal beam support that stabilized the cracking wall from further dislocation.
The GeoLock Wall Anchor system was installed to stabilize this customers failing retaining wall by using heavy-duty anchors installed in stable soil away from the wall. These anchors are connected to steel plates on the wall, creating a secure system that counteracts the pressure causing the wall to fail. This method not only halts further movement but can also help straighten the wall over time, ensuring long-term stability and peace of mind.
Sagging floors had plagued this home for a while and the homeowners tried a jack system that wasn't getting the job done. We replaced the system with our SmartJacks under a steel beam support. This is a more durable and effective way to hold the floor up.
From years of pressure, exerted from the dirt behind the block wall, the mortar lines started to crack, and the wall bowed. This problem is very commonplace for older block walls in wet areas, and it is also very solvable. We installed CarbonArmor strips along the wall which creates a tough elastic support that is more than strong enough to counter the pressure coming from behind the wall and keeps the wall supported in the future.
