In Mayodan, NC, we were called to a split-level home built in the early 1960s, where the homeowner was preparing to sell and had concerns about the aging foundation and a driveway over 40 years old. During our inspection, we identified signs of foundation settlement cracking and separation in the brickwork beneath the porch caused by shifting and unstable soil over time. To address these structural issues and provide long-term stability, we installed helical piers, which are precision-engineered steel supports that are screwed deep into stable, load-bearing soil. These piers transfer the weight of the structure away from compromised ground, effectively halting further movement and restoring support to the foundation.
