This crawl space's floor joists had weakened and shifted overtime, causing the floors above to sink. We permanently stabilized the foundation by installing SmartJacks with steel supplemental beams throughout the crawl space. These fully-adjustable steel piers will stop settlement in its tracks and may even lift the floors above back to their original position.
This home, built in 1909, was lacking effective foundation support. Existing support columns had failed and had been replaced with stacks of wooden blocks. The floors were sagging, and the patio had settled and shifted away from the home. Our crew permanently stabilized the bouncing floors with the SmartJack system. These high-capacity steel piers are the only floor stabilizing solution that addresses the root cause of the issue, weak soils!
Our team installed foundation piers to repair the customer's foundation due to the presence of significant foundation settlement and shifting. The foundation piers provide deep support, reaching stable soil layers below the surface, which helps to stabilize and lift the foundation back to its original position. This method effectively addresses issues such as cracks, uneven floors, and misaligned doors and windows, ensuring long-term structural integrity and preventing further damage.
Helical piers stabilize a foundation by anchoring it to stable soil deep underground. They prevent further settlement or shifting caused by poor soil conditions, such as expansive clay or erosion.
Installing the PowerBrace system in parallel enhances structural stability by distributing loads evenly and providing consistent support across the structure. This configuration improves the building's resistance to lateral forces, ensuring greater overall strength and durability.
